A few things I want to share this week

Hey, Reader!

I’ve got a lot to share this week so I’ll keep things short and sweet. I’m having a MUCH better week this week as I am finally feeling better after a bout of COVID. I'm also really looking forward to having one of my favourite meals of chicken in a sundried tomato cream sauce tonight. I hope whatever is on your menu for today delicious.

Anyway, here’s a menu of some awesome ADHD-related (and one other!) goodies that I want to send your way this week:

  1. As ADHDers we are often seeking that dopamine hit - something that satisfies the need for a quick dopamine fix. THIS article in Additude Magazine talks about creating a "Dopamenu" for yourself so that you can have a curated list of options that lightens the mental load of finding activities to stimulate us when we need it most.
  2. Do you have a hard time with sleep? Sleep can often be a struggle for us ADHDers. I found THIS ARTICLE and it helped me understand why sleep can be such an issue for us and how we can maintain better sleep hygiene. If you struggle with sleep, check it out!
  3. If you are a coach or are interested in how coaching can be hugely transformative, my friend Heidi Fishbein is part of a very cool FREE "Heart of Coaching Giveaway" going on until Feb 24th. You'll get tonnes of resources covering topics like self-kindness, creative breakthroughs, the neuroscience of coaching and more! CLICK HERE to sign up.
  4. And lastly, I'm excited to announce that my new ONLINE ADHD & EMOTIONAL FREEDOM COURSE has launched! It's already had some great feedback and is currently being offered at a special (very low!) introductory price. In this self-paced 8-module course, you will...
  • Decode the profound connection between ADHD and your emotional world.
  • Learn why it's okay to feel intensely – especially if you have ADHD.
  • Uncover how your core values can guide emotional regulation.
  • Master grounding exercises to stay present in the moment.
  • Set small, achievable goals for emotional empowerment.
  • Learn practical strategies to cultivate self-compassion.

Okay. That’s it for now. I’ll let you decide what’s most important to you right now. Have a great week and I’ll be back in your inbox next week around the same time. "See" you then!

Good Morning Coffee GIF by Pudgy Penguins

Hey Reader, I hope you’re good wherever you are and whatever you’re doing. I can't believe it but I just turned over my calendar to December and it’s well and truly the season of shorter days and darker nights. I’m not gonna lie…there’s something about this time of year that just gets me feeling so cozy. So, it feels like it’s been a minute since I’ve popped into your email inbox. A lot has been going on here behind the scenes both personally and professionally and I wanted to update you a...

A group of golden spoons sitting on top of each other

Hey there, Reader! It's been a minute, hasn’t it? How have you been doing? I can’t believe how quickly this month has flown by. Seriously, it feels like I blinked, and suddenly, the cooler weather is creeping in. I find myself daydreaming about all things winter - cozy blankets and hot chocolate which is wild, right? And it seems like I’m not the only one thinking about the holidays early this year—I was in Costco the other day, and guess what? Holiday stuff was on full display front and...

A person holding a pen and a sticky note

Hey Reader, If I could listen to your thoughts right now, what do you think I’d hear? Living with ADHD can make it ridiculously easy to beat ourselves up for not fitting in, not being "normal," and a whole lot of other stuff. If you could peek into my brain, you’d definitely hear a whole lot of self-criticism and some not-so-flattering chatter happening at full volume. Isn’t it wild how quickly our brains can jump to that self-judgment? If your mind is anything like mine, just remember:...
