Why yes, I AM passionate about this!

Oh hi there Reader.

Did you know my first job was a candy girl at a movie theatre? Yep, I had a uniform and everything and guess what? There were no tills! We had to add up the cost of everything in our heads. For someone who has always struggled with math, it was a challenge and I still worry about how much money I may have costed the company because my adding was off! 🤓 But hey, I got free popcorn so that was a win!

A lot has changed since then and I have worn many career hats (in true ADHD fashion). And, Reader ? I could not be happier with what I do now.

I have so much passion for coaching folks with ADHD since starting this little business of mine. Amazingly, I get to work with truly incredible people who are on the ADHD path. Seriously, I've never felt like I've found my people like I have since doing this work.

Because I've had many different career changes, my son asked me something the other day that caught me off guard. He asked me...

Why do you love coaching, Mom?

I paused for a minute and then the words just spilled out of me. So much so, I thought. I would share it here with you this week. I hope that's ok? 😬

I love ADHD coaching because I love embracing neurodiversity. I have a profound appreciation for the unique perspectives and talents that people with ADHD bring to the table. Their creativity, energy, and ability to think outside the box amazes and inspires me every single day.

I love ADHD coaching because I understand the journey. Having personally experienced the challenges of ADHD, I understand the frustrations and obstacles that come with it. This personal connection drives my commitment to providing compassionate and personalized support. I know that ADHD is not just about struggling to focus but involves a whole array of emotions and experiences that shape each person's journey in a very unique way.

I love ADHD coaching because I get to build a supportive community. I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where ADHD folks can feel understood and valued. Through my coaching, I aim to build a community where clients can share their experiences, learn from each other, and find solidarity. Together, we can break down the stigma associated with ADHD and emotional dysregulation and promote acceptance and empowerment.

Ah! Magnificent, no?

So, I know I say it a lot but I want to thank you again for being here. Thank you for hitting reply and chatting with me, interacting in my Facebook group, buying one of my courses or ebooks when you need it. Any and all of it. And if you're new here, WELCOME! I'm so happy you're here!

Now it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Maybe not what you love about ADHD coaching (it’s my job to stay geeky in that way)…but hit reply and share something you might love about your own ADHD journey. Tell me why you love it so much.

I’ll go first. Even though it can sometimes throw me off, I love when I hyperfocus and get so involved in something I love. Here's an article that explains hyperfocus really well...the good and the not so good.

Talk soon, Reader.

Michelle xx

A group of golden spoons sitting on top of each other

Hey there, Reader! It's been a minute, hasn’t it? How have you been doing? I can’t believe how quickly this month has flown by. Seriously, it feels like I blinked, and suddenly, the cooler weather is creeping in. I find myself daydreaming about all things winter - cozy blankets and hot chocolate which is wild, right? And it seems like I’m not the only one thinking about the holidays early this year—I was in Costco the other day, and guess what? Holiday stuff was on full display front and...

A person holding a pen and a sticky note

Hey Reader, If I could listen to your thoughts right now, what do you think I’d hear? Living with ADHD can make it ridiculously easy to beat ourselves up for not fitting in, not being "normal," and a whole lot of other stuff. If you could peek into my brain, you’d definitely hear a whole lot of self-criticism and some not-so-flattering chatter happening at full volume. Isn’t it wild how quickly our brains can jump to that self-judgment? If your mind is anything like mine, just remember:...
